BOND VOTE: TUESDAY, MARCH 7, 2023
The North Tama County Community School District is known as a small-town school that offers outstanding learning opportunities. We are committed to providing an excellent learning environment for our students so that we can best prepare them for the years ahead.
At this time, the district has numerous facility challenges that, if left unaddressed, threaten the level of quality education we can provide. By acting now, we believe we can address these needs and ensure North Tama County continues to provide excellent learning environments for students now and in the years to come.

Proposed Solution
On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, North Tama County residents will vote on a bond issue. If the question receives at least 60 percent approval, the district will move forward with building, furnishing, and equipping a new addition at North Tama County High School. Targeted projects would include the following:
-
A new addition to the east, with new high school classrooms and collaboration spaces
-
Secure entry upgrades and other security improvements
-
Reconfiguration and remodeling of athletic areas
-
Accessibility improvements
-
Expansion of the weight room
-
Selective maintenance (including HVAC and electrical)
If the bond is approved, the largest estimated impact on a home assessed at $100,000 would be $172.73 per year, or $14.39 per month. The estimated tax impact on a typical 40-acre field of farmland would be $221.65 per year, or $18.47 per month.
